We would like to approach all residents of the region and raise awareness about various health concerns. Thus, we must deepen and broaden our spectrum of knowledge by organising additional training and co-operating with national and foreign professional institutions as well as governmental organisations and NGOs.

Besides the previously mentioned activities, the Institute of Public Health Koper also performs the following services:

  • organisation, management and implementation of the courses in food hygiene and the principles of HACCP system. The Institute provides training for:

  1. persons responsible for internal control, and the management;
  2. persons employed in production or food transport:
  3. persons who are about to start or have just started to work in production or food transport, and who lack appropriate professional education enabling them to work with food.

  • professional co-operation and counselling in the establishment of HACCP system in production and food transport, and implementation of initial training courses.

Other activities include: organisation, management and implementation of specialist exams for medical professionals and medical employees who completed secondary technical education, and handling of documentation on courses and course participants.
